Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on diverse commercial projects in the Greenwood, IN area. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate materials, monitor the project schedule, and work with project teams to ensure safe, timely, and quality project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read drawings and manage field

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
• Experience overseeing commercial construction projects and subcontractor teams
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, plans and other construction documents
• Strong scheduling and project coordination capabilities
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all day-to-day construction activities on the jobsite
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, equipment, and materials
• Maintain the project schedule and proactively address potential delays
• Partner closely with Project Managers and other team members to ensure successful project execution
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and other construction documents
• Conduct and participate in project, subcontractor, and coordination meetings
• Monitor workmanship and ensure established quality standards are consistently met
• Enforce site safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily field reports, progress updates, and photographs
• Coordinate inspections and communicate with inspection authorities to secure required approvals
• Identify field challenges early and drive solutions to keep projects moving forward
• Communicate project progress, priorities, and potential issues across all levels of the project team
• Support successful project turnover and closeout
