Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems seeks a Chief Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to lead MS&A efforts across multiple sites in the United States. You will define strategy, architecture, and analytical approaches for mission engineering activities.

You will provide technical leadership to cross-disciplinary teams, develop roadmaps, and present analytical results to Government customers and program leadership. Experience with ModelCenter, STK, MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of systems engineering, modeling and simulation, digital engineering, or mission engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams performing missile, space, IAMD, aerospace, or weapon-system modeling and analysis.
• Experience developing and executing system-level and mission-level simulations to support engineering decisions, architecture assessments, trade studies, and mission effectiveness analysis.
• Experience in missile trajectories, GNC, missile engagement and intercept analysis, satellites and orbital mechanics, radar/RF/EO/IR, comms and data-link architectures, IAMD, C2/BMD, threat and weapon-system performance.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy, architecture, and analytical approach for MS&A activities.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams of engineers and mission analysts.
• Develop roadmaps and MS&A priorities aligned with mission objectives and customer needs.
• Present analytical results and trade studies to Government customers and program leadership.
• Lead development of end-to-end MS&A workflows connecting models to evaluate mission performance.
• Develop automated workflows for scenario generation, model execution, data processing, and visualization.
• Apply tools such as ModelCenter, Ansys STK, MATLAB/Simulink, and other MS&A tools.
• Lead verification and validation of models and workflows for credible results.
• Oversee a multi-tenant digital engineering environment integrating modeling tools and data sources.
