Job summary

Spring EQ, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team and oversee the monthly close, general ledger, and financial reporting for mortgage origination and servicing activities.

You will ensure GAAP compliance, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets, and Operations to drive process improvements and strategic initiatives in a growing mortgage organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in mortgage/financial services.
• Knowledge of GAAP and mortgage regulatory requirements (RESPA, HMDA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close and financial reporting for mortgage operations.
• Manage general ledger and reconciliations.
• Develop GAAP-compliant policies and internal controls.
• Prepare statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team.
