Job summary

CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide lender headquartered in Plano, TX, seeks a Financial Reporting Manager to oversee financial statements and GAAP reporting in-office. You will collaborate with the Corporate Controller, accounting staff, and auditors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

The role focuses on technical accounting research, new standards evaluation, and complex transactions, with a pathway to strengthen internal controls and financial reporting

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Five years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and supporting audits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per US GAAP.
• Prepare footnotes and disclosures for quarterly SEC filings.
• Perform quarterly loss reserve calculations for various loan portfolios.
• Assist with consolidation of multiple legal entities and intercompany accounts.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and implement appropriate policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and respond to requests.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
