Job summary

Markent Personnel in Stoughton, MA, seeks an experienced Mold Tooling Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design and production of medical cable assemblies and connectors, focusing on injection-molded components.

The role requires 10+ years in mold tooling, proficiency in SolidWorks, and strong DFm and global-sourcing collaboration. This is a full-time on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mold design, tooling, or toolmaking experience.
• Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
• Ability to perform thorough DFM and tooling feasibility reviews.
• Extensive experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead tool shop and coordinate with toolmakers and mold designers.
• Perform DFM reviews to optimize designs.
• Design and evaluate injection molds for medical connector components and cable assemblies.
• Develop tooling concepts, including gating, venting, cooling, and surface finishes.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
• Coordinate with external mold shops (domestic & offshore) through design and qualification.
• Assist in tooling issues and drive design updates.
