HellermannTyton in Milwaukee seeks a Lead Mold Maker to lead the construction of new molds from CAD data or detailed prints and to evaluate, repair, and optimize existing molds to support production.

You will supervise toolmakers and apprentices, operate surface grinders, mills, cutoff saws, and drills, and coordinate heat-treat material preparation to ensure molds meet dimensional and functional requirements before release.

Formación

• Journeyman toolmaker certification or 10+ years of toolmaker experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CAD software experience, preference SolidWorks and/or Mastercam.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft software.
• Skilled use of precision measuring equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the construction of new tooling from CAD or detailed prints.
• Evaluate, maintain, and repair existing molds to support production.
• Delegate work to toolmakers, apprentices or other departments.
• Operate surface grinders, manual mills, cutoff saws, drill press, and related equipment.
• Prepare steel for heat-treat and coordinate material pickup with vendors.
• Perform final mold inspection and ensure dimensional and functional requirements.
