Job summary

HellermannTyton in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Tooling Engineering Intern to support active injection mold development projects, learn how designs become production tooling, and analyze how engineering decisions affect mold construction, lead time, and cycle time.

You will participate in mold design reviews, assist with technical purchasing, transfer and control engineering files, track actions, and document lessons learned for future tooling programs while upholding quality and EHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Completion of sophomore year or higher before Summer 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize technical information and follow through on actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in active mold development projects from kickoff through design, build, trial and validation.
• Assist with preparation and release of technical purchase order documentation and requirements.
• Coordinate transfer, organization and revision control of project files and drawings.
• Track schedules, supplier deliverables, and project actions and risks.
• Attend supplier reviews and mold design discussions.
