Job summary

Gfoat seeks a Mobility Initiatives Manager to lead multimodal transportation programs, including active transportation, transit, and related special projects. You will plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate policies, capital projects, and initiatives to enhance mobility throughout the community.

The role requires guiding the Active Transportation Plan, managing grants, and serving as a liaison to BPAC, with collaboration across City departments and regional partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible transportation planning experience.
• Experience in bicycle and pedestrian planning and Complete Streets initiatives is highly desirable.
• Experience administering grants, consultant contracts, public engagement programs, and interagency coordination is preferred.
• Knowledge of Complete Streets, Vision Zero, multimodal transportation systems, and transportation safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of multimodal transportation programs.
• Manage Active Transportation Plan projects and cross‑department coordination.
• Serve as staff liaison to BPAC; prepare agendas, minutes and materials.
• Prepare reports/policy recommendations for City Council and partners.
• Oversee Safe Routes to School program and grant opportunities.
• Develop graphics and use GIS for planning and reporting.
• Coordinate transit planning with DART and first/last mile connectivity.
• Manage consultant contracts and mobility-related grants.
