Job summary

LTD Lane Transit District is seeking a Planning Manager to lead the Planning Department and drive long-range planning, mobility initiatives, and service planning. You will supervise staff, manage complex projects, and coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and partner agencies to ensure compliance and successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in transit planning, public sector planning, transportation consulting, project management, or related field.
• At least three years of supervisory, project leadership, or management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning for Planning Department staff.
• Establish priorities, assign work, and allocate department resources to ensure successful execution of work and strategic priorities.
• Oversee service planning and scheduling activities, including operational analysis, bid planning, service implementation, and resource forecasting.
• Monitor department performance and implement strategies to improve organizational outcomes.
• Coordinate planning activities with internal departments, partner agencies, and stakeholders to resolve technical and policy issues.
