Job summary

Transwest Mobile is seeking a Lead Mobile Equipment Diagnostic Technician in the Converse/San Antonio, TX area. You’ll diagnose and repair heavy‑duty diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, with a focus on CAN bus and ECM diagnostics, on customer sites and in the field.

You’ll lead senior technicians, coach juniors, and ensure clear, actionable reports for customers while keeping thorough service records and safety at the forefront of every job.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in heavy equipment, diesel, or hydraulic system repair.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• CAN bus and ECM diagnostics proficiency.
• Own professional diagnostic toolkit.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead high‑level diagnostics and repairs of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Perform engine overhauls and intricate component repairs.
• Use OEM documentation and diagnostic tools; operate cranes and other gear.
• Coach junior technicians; mentor team on job sites.
• Maintain thorough service records and drive continuous improvement.
