Job summary

Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician position with Lighthouse Lab Services in Hillsboro, Ohio. This role combines bench testing with departmental leadership, acting as a technical resource for the Chemistry team while guiding quality initiatives and training.

The successful candidate will oversee proficiency testing, instrument calibration, and QC processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and exemplary service to physicians and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• ASCP certification (MLT or MLS/MT) or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical chemistry laboratory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership potential or prior lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemistry testing and report patient results accurately and timely.
• Document quality control, preventive maintenance, and calibration of instruments.
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and instrument issues.
• Coordinate training for new staff and support new analyzers/procedures.
• Oversee proficiency testing, competency assessments, and QC review processes.
• Monitor QC data and maintenance records, escalate issues to leadership.
