Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead for Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The role leads the clinical lab team, performs high-complexity testing, and ensures quality control and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of MT experience, ASCP certification, and a BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology, with strong leadership and communication skills to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of clinical experience as a Medical Technologist in the designated discipline.
• ASCP Certification (Required).
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF; US-educated provide original transcript.
• Experience as a Medical Technologist at Quest is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all duties of a Medical Technologist I and II.
• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests following SOPs with quality control.
• Support lab policies for specimen handling, processing, reporting and record keeping.
• Adhere to schedules to maintain turnaround times including STATS or critical results.
• Perform QC analysis, ensure instrument function and make QC decisions.
• Investigate analytical problems and provide corrective actions as a technical resource.
• Assist Lab Supervisor by monitoring workflow, training staff, and distributing work.
• Coordinate production flow to maximize capacity and resolve lab issues.
• Maintain safe, clean lab areas and equipment; assist with competency testing.
