Job summary

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is seeking a Lead Engineer in ML/AI to shape and ship production-grade intelligent systems on AWS. You will move from data design to deployment, ensuring reliability and performance across ML features.

You will mentor engineers, partner with Product and Data Science teams, and drive responsible AI practices while advancing AI-powered capabilities at Toyota.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, ML, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software engineering, with 2–4 years ML/AI in production.
• Strong ML fundamentals and experience with large language models.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines from data to deployment.
• Lead integration of LLM features, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Choose appropriate ML approaches and manage model training and deployment.
• Own ML features end-to-end with testing, observability, and monitoring.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and tradeoff analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product and data teams.
