Job summary

Toyota Financial Services in Plano, TX seeks a Lead AI/ML Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale enterprise AI platform capabilities across the organization. You will own secure, production-grade AI infrastructure that powers model training, inference, and GenAI workloads.

Collaborate with product, architecture, data, and cybersecurity teams to deliver reliable, scalable AI services while mentoring engineers and staying current on GenAI trends.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering focused on cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years building cloud infra for AI/ML workloads (training, tuning, inference).
• Deep hands-on with AWS and IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD in production.
• Strong GPU infra, serverless compute, scalable microservices.
• Observability tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus in production.
• Git/GitHub and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure for enterprise AI/ML and GenAI workloads in production.
• Build and evolve MLOps and LLMOps platform capabilities (training, versioning, deployment, monitoring).
• Create GPU-accelerated compute environments balancing performance, scale, and cost.
• Standardize patterns for vector databases, model registries, and orchestration.
• Develop reusable approaches for model serving, inference scaling, and latency optimization.
• Design secure, multi-tenant AI environments with access controls and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, and data teams to ensure robust data flow and observability.
• Own technical direction for AI infrastructure services with architecture team.
• Lead design reviews and engineering standards, guiding key technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers and support growth through coaching and development.
• Stay current on GenAI, distributed systems, and infrastructure trends.
