Job summary

Toyota Financial Services seeks a Principal AI Governance & Security Engineer to lead governance, risk, and security for AI/ML platforms. You’ll build production-grade controls and an enterprise AI governance plane, partnering with Cybersecurity, Model Risk, Legal, Privacy and business units.

The role blends policy design, threat modeling, and hands-on engineering on AWS-based platforms, with a focus on scaling safe, auditable, and compliant AI/agentic systems in production.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with AI/ML governance and security.
• Experience designing enterprise AI governance frameworks and control standards.
• translating requirements into executable controls and tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and scale the enterprise AI governance framework and controls across lifecycles.
• Operationalize lifecycle gates: intake, risk classification, control design, approvals, monitoring.
• Own AI agent registry and inventory, ensure no shadow deployments.
• Embed with use-case teams to ship executable governance controls.
