Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Mission Simulation Engineer III to lead the development of an integrated mission simulation model for the TeraWave constellation. You will coordinate across propulsion, payload, power, network, and GNC teams to ensure accurate flight-system behavior and analyze performance across RF and optical links.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, applied mathematics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience in spacecraft systems engineering, mission analysis, or constellation simulation.
• Proficiency in simulation development and scripting tools such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in implementing, maintaining, and improving the TeraWave integrated mission simulation model.
• Develop high-fidelity orbital mechanics models including orbit propagation and coverage analysis.
• Build beam assignment and payload scheduling models reflecting antenna patterns and link constraints.
• Develop simulation capabilities for ISL and ground-to-space links, RF and optical domains.
• Collaborate with fleet management, mission operations, payload, power, network, and GNC teams.
• Define and support simulation verification and validation approaches with analytical and telemetry benchmarks.
• Mentor junior simulation and systems engineers and support hiring efforts.

Education

Master's degree in aerospace engineering / systems engineering / applied mathematics

PhD in aerospace engineering / applied mathematics (preferred)
