Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Mission Simulation Engineer III to lead the TeraWave integrated mission simulation efforts. You will model orbital mechanics, power, payload utilization, and network routing to optimize constellation performance while controlling costs.

The role requires collaboration with fleet management, mission operations, payload, power, network, and GNC teams. Relocation is provided, with travel up to 15% expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, applied mathematics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience in spacecraft systems engineering, mission analysis, or constellation simulation.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++, with experience building multi-physics models.
• Experience in orbital mechanics, RF/optical link performance, or spacecraft power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of the TeraWave integrated mission simulation model.
• Build high-fidelity orbital mechanics models and coverage analyses.
• Develop orbit optimization methods to maximize coverage and capacity while reducing cost.
• Create beam assignment, payload scheduling, and traffic routing models across RF and optical links.
