Job summary

Eaton in Sumter, SC is seeking a Mission Critical Team Lead for Bus Assembly to lead production, ensure on-time orders, and uphold quality standards. This role demands hands-on leadership and coordination with the manufacturing team to optimize workflow.

The incumbent will supervise assembly, materials allocation, inspection, testing, wiring and shipping while fostering a safe and inclusive work culture. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
• At least 3 months of leadership experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Live within 50 miles of Sumter, SC; no relocation benefits offered.
• Sponsorship not offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture; escalate issues to supervisor as appropriate.
• Work with manufacturing team to ensure timely and efficient order execution; prioritize urgent orders.
• Review orders and drawings, travel documents and BOM to ensure information is complete and assist with issue resolution.
• Communicate status updates and promote teamwork across departments.
• Support training and cross-training to maintain a flexible workforce.
• Delegate tasks and align resources to meet production goals; may work as a production associate as needed.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive projects to completion.
• Attend tier meetings to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues.
