Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead field execution on complex mining, remediation, and site restoration projects. This role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will bring extensive construction management experience, with a focus on mining-related activities, heavy civil work, and environmental remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant construction management experience; leadership experience.
• Pass a background check; enrolled in medical surveillance; valid driver's license; MVR check; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field construction management activities for mining-related infrastructure, environmental remediation, mine closure, reclamation, and site restoration projects.
• Direct construction management personnel, including resident engineers, inspectors, field engineers, and office engineering staff, to ensure effective project delivery and coordination.
• Manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved plans and specifications, contract requirements, permits, environmental commitments, and safety standards.
• Oversee earthwork, excavation, grading, embankment construction, material handling, drainage improvements, and other heavy civil construction activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedules, costs, and resources; identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, pay apps, schedules, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with design teams and clients to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee QA/QC activities, including inspection programs and materials testing coordination.
• Coordinate environmental compliance activities related to remediation, mine closure, and reclamation.
• Lead progress meetings and maintain project records.
