Job summary

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a skilled millwright to join our maintenance team. Responsibilities include interpreting rules and JSAs, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping plant equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will document work in CMMS, collaborate with operations and engineers, and participate in safety compliance and vendor evaluations. Applicants should have 2+ years of industrial mechanical experience and complete Millwright apprenticeship or journeyman certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
• Completion of Millwright apprenticeship program or journeyman certification.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and alignment.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Solid understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
• Time management, multitasking, and meeting production targets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
• Utilize CMMS to document all work orders and equipment maintenance records throughout the facility.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and efficiently.
• Install, repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment for safe and continuous operation.
• Assist in maintaining the inventory of critical spare parts.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) to reduce repeat equipment failures.
• Assist in evaluating and measuring vendor performance.
• Engage in maintenance training and progression through programs.
• Collaborate with operations, electricians, engineers, and other trades.
