Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Millwright in Idaho to install, repair, and optimize mill machinery. The role requires reading blueprints, fabricating parts, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a sawmill setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
• Or a 2 year Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant training.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery during installation or repair.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controllers.
• Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts during overhaul or maintenance.
• Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials.
• Assemble machinery prior to installation using tools and welding equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections for preventive maintenance.
