Job summary

Idaho Forest Group in Grangeville, ID is seeking a Journeyman Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 2 (Millwright) to join our weekend maintenance team. You will install, repair and maintain plant machinery.

Responsibilities include alignment, preventive and predictive maintenance, welding, fabrication, and following blueprints and lockout/tagout safety policies; overtime and varying shifts may apply. Qualifications include hydraulics/pneumatics, crane/rigging, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics, crane and rigging, wire and stick welding.
• Proficient in power drive systems, gear boxes, bearings, and lubrication
• Knowledge of Safety Rules, OSHA and State regulations
• Ability to work at varying heights
• Provide tools
• Must be able to work various shifts, days, and overtime as needed
• Mechanical or Industrial Maintenance certification preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to quickly obtain one as a condition of employment)
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Responsible for machinery installation and alignment
• Working knowledge of industrial equipment
• Prepare machine centers for daily use
• Perform predictive, preventative, corrective maintenance procedures
• Assemble, install and repair equipment following blueprints and schematics
• Pre-fabrication, cut and welding
• Consistently keep a production level work pace
• Follow lock out/tag out policies for each job and task
• Other duties as needed
• Specific job duties and shifts may vary per mill and based on machinery
