Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Millwright II to independently install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery supporting efficient operations. You will diagnose failures, interpret blueprints, develop procedures, and mentor other millwrights.

Participation in safety and continuous improvement is expected. The position involves collaborating with engineering and operations, performing advanced mechanical/electrical repairs, and maintaining records in maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Valid chauffeur’s license and DOT medical card.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• 3+ years of machine repair experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and basic control systems.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues.
• Experience with fabrication and field fitting of components.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, ARC).
• Ability to interpret engineered drawings and develop maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install machinery and equipment per layouts and blueprints.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs.
• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure proper function.
• Develop and document procedures for new jobs and rebuilds.
• Train and mentor Millwright I employees and support onboarding.
• Act as stand-in lead on projects and serve as contact for maintenance leadership.
• Support safety investigations and corrective actions.
• Use maintenance systems to enter work orders and track parts.
• Maintain minimal downtime through proactive maintenance.
• Support safety, culture, and best-practice initiatives.
