Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Millwright I to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to keep operations efficient in Howell, MI. You will diagnose issues, repair production equipment, and document rebuild procedures while collaborating with engineering and product development teams.

The role requires mechanical and electrical repair skills, blueprint reading, and welding capabilities, with safety and continuous improvement emphasized in daily duties and a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Valid chauffeur’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• 1+ years of machine repair or industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of: Hydraulics, pneumatics, Mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematicsUse hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Perform basic welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, ARC)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Work at heights and in outdoor/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Work both independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and perform diagnosis and bring resolution to issues on production equipment
• Interact with engineering, operations support and product development to troubleshoot and ensure machinery and equipment are working properly
• Develop and document procedures on new jobs or rebuilds for filing in permanent record
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and etc.
• Support the development of safety, culture, and best practice initiatives within the department or company
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
• Dismantle equipment using hand power tools
