Job summary

United Rolls Inc. is seeking a skilled Journeyman Millwright to install, repair, maintain, and relocate heavy industrial machinery. You will work from blueprints to ensure safe and efficient operation, using welding equipment and laser alignment tools as needed.

The role requires completing an apprenticeship, holding a Journeyman Card, and passing the company test. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and mentor apprentices in a fast-paced foundry/machine shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completed Apprenticeship Program with OJT and Classroom Training.
• Have obtained a valid Journeyman Card.
• Pass the Company’s Millwright Journeyman's Test.
• Ability to train and develop Apprentices.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use precision instruments and maintain alignment accuracy.
• Familiarity with welding, rigging, laser alignment, and vibration analysis.
• CMMS knowledge preferred; steel manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install machinery according to blueprints and specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot systems.
• Inspect and test equipment for safe functioning using diagnostics.
• Identify and resolve problems with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Move and position heavy machinery using hoists and dollies.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to understand requirements.
• Coach and train apprentices in the Learner Program.
