Job summary

Focus Inc in Chicago is seeking a Project Manager II to lead mid-sized construction projects from planning through close-out. You will own project performance, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and financial results, and collaborate with internal teams, field leadership, clients, and partners.

The role requires 6-10 years of construction management experience, strong leadership and communication, and a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in residential and/or commercial construction management.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contracts on projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to safety and quality on every project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from concept through final acceptance and warranty.
  • Own profit and loss for assigned projects.
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor Assistant PMs, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
  • Support team training and professional growth.
  • Coordinate design requirements, permitting, submittals, and inspections.
  • Lead meetings and ensure effective communication across teams.
  • Manage change orders, draws, and project billing.
  • Oversee punch lists, warranty docs, and final manuals.
