Job summary

Overview Builders Chicago is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, within scope and budget, with safety and quality at the forefront.

You will coordinate with general contractors, prepare submittals, review contracts, manage risks, and oversee daily progress while maintaining rigorous standards and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in commercial construction, preferably with exposure to commercial doors.
• Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects with safety first.
• Oversee and direct projects from contract execution to completion.
• Read and understand complex contracts.
• Create submittals to turn in to GC's after hand-off.
• Review each project to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Coordinate with General Contractors and direct subcontractors.
• Work with GC on change orders and pricing.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Assist in obtaining permits, licenses, waivers, etc.
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
