Job summary

You will translate production needs into reliable, scalable automation solutions from concept through commissioning. The role requires hands-on experience with Industry 4.0, real-time data analytics, digital twins, MES/ERP integration, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field; 12+ years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with 10+ years, or 16+ years without degree.
• 10+ years designing, programming, and commissioning automation systems, robotics, and advanced manufacturing equipment.
• 8+ years developing and supporting custom automated machinery with Industry 4.0 tech such as IIoT, analytics, and connected factory systems.
• Proficiency with industrial automation platforms (TIA Portal, Studio 5000, TwinCAT, WinCC) and end-to-end controls.
• Experience with robotics integration (KUKA, FANUC, ABB) and robotic cells, including vision systems.
• Knowledge of digital twins, edge computing, predictive analytics, and smart manufacturing workflows.
• Familiar with safety standards, risk assessments, and ergonomics for automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation, selection, and deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies to improve factory performance.
• Drive digital transformation with real-time data collection, analytics, and modeling.
• Oversee integration with MES platforms, ERP, and quality systems for closed-loop control.
• Develop and maintain automation equipment, control systems, and BOMs.
• Provide onsite commissioning support and continuous improvement in production environments.
