Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Lead Automation Engineer in Huntsville, AL to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for rocket motor manufacturing. You will lead projects from requirements through production, partnering with manufacturing and facilities teams to improve capability, safety, and throughput.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree with extensive automation experience, proficiency in PLCs, robotics, and control systems, and the ability to obtain a US

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Automation/Engineering with 9+ years of experience; or a Graduate Degree with 7+ years.
In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of Automation/Manufacturing Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement manufacturing technology to optimize throughput.
Troubleshoot and maintain custom automation systems.
Analyze production processes to identify efficiency improvements.
Develop work standards, time studies, and ergonomic analyses.
Monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement.
Support new product introduction and equipment validation.
