Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Lead MEP Project Engineer to own complex facility modernization, HVAC, controls, and energy infrastructure projects. You will lead with clients, mentor staff, and guide initiatives from concept through implementation.

The role focuses on schools, municipalities, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings, offering regional travel and a performance bonus. This is a hands-on senior leadership engineering position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Science.
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience with controls integration and building automation systems.
• Travel throughout the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility assessments and site investigations.
• Analyze utility consumption and building performance.
• Develop HVAC, controls, lighting, water conservation, and building envelope solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations and energy savings analyses.
• Develop project budgets and cost estimates.
• Prepare technical audits, reports, and proposal documentation.
• Manage project development schedules and deliverables.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Review technical submittals and construction documents.
• Conduct field inspections during project implementation.
• Support utility rebate and incentive applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout project development and execution.
