Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN is seeking a MEMS/optoelectronics process engineer to contribute to development, transfer, optimization, and documentation of the overall process flow and macro modules.

You will characterize, evaluate, and document device reliability, work with Process Engineering to optimize modules, and help transfer the new process to production. Requires MS with 5-7 years or PhD with 5+ years; on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in EE, Materials Science, or Physics is typically required.
• MS with 5-7 years or PhD with 5+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments to determine the process sequences and parameters.
• Analyze data from fabrication of test lots to identify optimization needs.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to develop, characterize, and optimize process modules.
• Support the initial test chip processing and transfer to production, ensuring first-pass success.
• Write documentation to transfer the new process to production.
• Provide inputs to Device Engineers to develop layout rules and test structures.
• Create and maintain project schedules with mitigation plans to meet deadlines.
• Provide development updates to external customers on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
• Support CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment initiatives.
