Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking a highly qualified MEMS/optoelectronics process engineer in Bloomington, MN to advance development, transfer, and documentation of critical flow and macro modules for reliable, manufacturable devices. The role involves experimental design, data analysis, and collaboration with Process and Device Engineers to meet performance targets, plus writing transfer documentation for production.

Master/PhD holders with relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• MS with 5–7 years or PhD with 5+ years experience preferred.
• Experience in MEMS fabrication and device reliability testing.
• Ability to design experiments, analyze results, and document transfers.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments to identify process parameters for target device performance.
• Analyze electrical/in-process data to identify optimization needs.
• Work with Process Eng to develop, characterize, and optimize modules.
• Support transfer of test chips to production and write transfer documentation.
• Provide weekly updates to external customers and mitigate project risks.
