Job summary

Exo Imaging is seeking a MEMS process development leader to advance the iris pMUT technology and scale production. You will work with packaging, imaging, and manufacturing teams to translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable processes across global foundries.

The role requires hands-on MEMS process development, NPI experience, and strong leadership to drive transitions from concept through ramp to production in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing and integrating processes in a production MEMS foundry environment.
• Hands-on experience with MEMS process development and integration.
• Familiarity with new product introduction(NPI)in semiconductor foundries, including MEMS and ASIC
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive external manufacturing partners with urgency, clarity, and accountability.
• Working knowledge of layout CAD tools(for example,L-Editor Layout Editor)and data-analysis tools (for example, JMP, Python, or Excel).
• Ability to travel as needed to support foundry and supplier engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own day to day technical engagement with external foundry partners producing MEMS and semiconductor components across Asia, the Americas and Europe.
• Develop, standardize, and maintain test structures that monitor process health and generate data for baseline and improvement across generations.
• Plan and execute experiments with manufacturing partners, manage inline material flow, review results and verify completion against requirements.
• Partner with packaging and assembly teams to balance engineering and production needs amid changing wafer allocation, lot timing and priorities.
• Lead the transition to production, including pre-production readiness, ramp, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process and product troubleshooting, yield improvement, and root-cause analysis; translate findings into actionable changes.
• Identify and mitigate high risk development areas and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary bridge between Product Development and Operations for manufacturability and performance.
• Prototype internally and with vendors to validate designs and process changes.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and provide timely updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate suppliers and consultants to secure materials and services to meet schedules.
