Job summary

Milestone Retirement is seeking a Lead Medication Technician to oversee daily ADL services and medication management for residents in a senior living setting. You will supervise the medication technician team, ensure adherence to resident care plans, and liaise with medical professionals and families to provide consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret physician orders accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supervising staff in a health-care setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the medication technician team in delivering services according to resident care plans.
• Administer medications following physician orders and MAR.
• Verify daily documentation and track completion of resident care tasks.
• Communicate with the team regarding resident needs and ensure high-quality service.
• Participate in meal service, including serving and dining room upkeep.
• Supervise staff during shifts and support their development.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing education.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Ensure safe work practices and support safety standards.
• Assist with workplace injury investigations and return-to-work processes as needed.
• Foster teamwork and positive impact on residents and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
