Milestone Retirement is seeking a Lead Medication Technician to oversee daily ADL services and medication management for residents. You will supervise the medication technician team, ensure resident care plans are followed, and maintain communication with medical professionals and families to provide high-quality care.

You will lead and support the team in delivering services according to care plans, administer medications per physician orders, and verify documentation daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of caregiving experience.
• At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and follow MAR.
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic computer skills preferred.
• Required state certifications for medication administration.
• Must meet health requirements, including TB clearance.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the medication technician team in delivering services according to resident care plans.
• Administer medications following physician orders and MAR.
• Verify daily documentation and track completion of resident care tasks.
• Communicate with the team regarding resident needs and ensure high-quality service.
• Participate in meal service, including serving and cleaning the dining room.
• Supervise staff during shifts and support their development.
• Maintain all required certifications, in-service training, and ongoing education.
• Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
• Ensure safe work practices and support team members in safety standards.
• Assist with workplace injury investigations and return-to-work processes as needed.
• Foster teamwork and a positive environment for residents and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned
