Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Clinical Labs team in Princeton, WV. Coordinate workflow, supervise staff, and perform and analyze clinical tests across laboratory disciplines in accordance with SOPs to ensure accuracy and timely results.

Qualifications include a BS in Medical Technology or related field with licensure requirements, plus 3 years of MT/MLT experience. ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical/biological science degree with one year of clinical lab training/experience, or 30+ years of CLIA grandfathered experience.
• Current licensure as required by state boards where services are provided (WV: Medical Laboratory Scientist).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow of laboratory area to ensure needs are met.
• Coordinate staffing schedules.
• Provide feedback to manager/director on staff performance.
• Coordinate quality and performance-related projects.
• Train and supervise medical technologists.
• Serve as a point of contact for departmental concerns.
• Process and analyze samples accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments per SOPs.
• Perform phlebotomy and report findings to nurses/physicians.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and compliance with policies.
