Cooper Green Mercy seeks a Medical Technologist Lead to perform, interpret, and report results on routine and complex laboratory procedures. Based in the on-site laboratory, you will evaluate new instruments, ensure QA, and lead troubleshooting and problem resolution under supervision.

You will supervise staff, train new employees, review QC data, and maintain compliance with CAP and OSHA standards. The role requires an ASCP/AMT MLT certification, an associate degree, and BLS, with shift 12

Qualificações

• Associates Degree and one year of related work experience.
• MLT certification through ASCP or AMT.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot control and instrument problems, document actions and use backups as needed.
• Verify test results for clerical accuracy and clinical compatibility.
• Review departmental QC data and notify supervisor of errors or trends.
• Maintain reagent logs, dating, and storage; monitor expiration dates.
• Perform analyzer maintenance, calibrations, and quality assessments.
• Conduct hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, and reference lab testing.
• Assist CAP inspections and update laboratory policies as needed.
• Train and review work of new staff and students.
