The Lead Medical Support Assistant works for the Medical Administration Service in a VISN Clinical Contact Center (CCC) of the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System located in New Orleans, Louisiana as part of an interprofessional healthcare team providing leadership to Medical Support Assistants.

Responsibilities include coordinating MSA workflow, guiding staff, ensuring timely appointment scheduling, utilizing multiple contact modalities, and maintaining high-quality customer service

Formación

• Education credentials recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for federal employment.
• Experience coordinating MSAs and interprofessional teams preferred.
• Experience with scheduling and access-to-care processes.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate MSA workflow across interprofessional clinics within the CCC.
• Assign and monitor work, provide input on performance and training needs.
• Resolve daily workplace issues and ensure efficient scheduling of appointments.
• Guide staff on policy changes and provide on-the-job training.
• Act as liaison to resolve day-to-day conflicts and maintain Veteran access.
