Job summary

Littleton Hospital Association in Littleton, NH is seeking a Medical Technologist to join a full-time laboratory team. You will perform all technologist functions, assist in procedures, and ensure accurate, timely results under the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services.

The ideal candidate has 4 years of experience in high and moderate complexity testing, a BS (or AS with experience), and ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a course of instruction given by a school of Medical Technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Associate or recognized as a Medical Technologist by external standards.
• 4 years of experience in High and Moderate Complexity Testing.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred; Associate of Science Degree with experience accepted.
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology, or the equivalent, is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Medical Technologist and act as bench technologist when workload warrants.
• Assume technical responsibility for the laboratory departments and ensure manuals and equipment are available.
• Review daily laboratory results for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
• Maintain a Quality Control program and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Orient and train new laboratory personnel and assist in evaluating competency.
