Mercy Health in Perrysburg is seeking a Lead Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to perform a full range of laboratory testing and deliver high-quality results to physicians. The role supports the Technical Specialist in workflow optimization and policy implementation.

The position requires a BS in a clinical/biomedical field with MLS certification (ASCP) or eligibility. 2+ years of clinical lab experience is expected, with 5 years preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of clinical lab experience required
• 5 years of clinical lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs the duties of a Medical Lab Scientist
• Assists Technical Specialist with implementation of new procedures and policies
• Coordinates proficiency testing to ensure testing meets deadlines
• Recommends system changes to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Updates schedules for daily operations
• Fulfills compliance responsibilities related to the position
• Other duties as assigned
