Job summary

Bethany Christian Services seeks a Lead Medical Coordinator to supervise medical staff and oversee health services for migrant and pediatric clients. The role emphasizes care coordination, policy development, and timely medical scheduling within a faith-based setting.

The position requires RN licensure with a bachelor’s degree or higher health credential, and preferably bilingual Spanish/English. Strong communication, confidentiality, and independent work style are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of employment in public health or healthcare with care coordination experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with high confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise other Medical Coordinators and provide staff training on medical, dental, and public health topics relevant to pediatric, adolescent care and migrant health.
• Develop and maintain policies for confidential health record management, triage of health concerns, emergency response, environmental health and safety, and post-release care coordination.
• Schedule and transport youth to medical appointments within allotted timeframes.
• Maintain medical files in Program Portal and ensure records are updated.
• Provide resources and reports upon discharge.
• Ensure documentation and filing compliance with required forms.
• May participate in on-call to assist shelter care staff after hours.
