Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC in Paw Paw, MI is seeking a Medical Coordinator to coordinate pediatric health services, maintain medical records, and liaise with case managers and clinicians. You will schedule appointments, arrange transportation, ensure interpretation services, and support refugees and immigrant families while upholding our faith-based mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of employment in public health or healthcare with care coordination or health administration experience.
• LPN/LVN or higher health qualification, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Reliable with time-sensitive deadlines and tasks.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change.
• Must pass required medical examinations and TB test; hepatis immunization preferred.
• Demonstrate integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care.
• Experience or qualifications to work with clients with special needs; proper training/licensing as necessary.
• Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases; TB testing and immunization records required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate health services including urgent, emergent, and preventive care for children in care.
• Schedule health care appointments and coordinate transportation; ensure interpretation/translation services.
• Serve as liaison for community health care providers and maintain confidential medical records.
• Reconcile billing and address errors to ensure accurate billing.
• May participate in on-call coverage as needed.
• Stay updated on agency, federal, and state health regulations.
• Travel to health care facilities to build partnerships and coordinate care.

Education
