Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Coding and Charging Supervisor to partner with the Coding Manager in daily activities, oversee coders, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. The role includes productivity monitoring, scheduling, and coding edit/charge review.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in coding/charging, with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS knowledge, and strong communication skills. Preference for advanced HIM credentials and Epic/3M experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years coding/charging experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS and/or HCPCS/CPT in acute care or professional services.
• Significant knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, MS-DRG, APC, MPFS/RVUs, POA/HACs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support Coding Manager in daily coding activities, productivity monitoring, scheduling, and code review.
• Oversee coding lead and coders; ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Handle training, education, and research initiatives; resolve failed claims and follow-up.
