Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Coding and Charging Supervisor to support the Coding Manager in daily coding activities, productivity monitoring, scheduling, and review of edits and charges. The role oversees the coding lead and coders, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and Mercy service standards.

Ideal candidates will have RN, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, COC, CIRCC credentials or equivalent, with advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS knowledge.
• Experience with MS-DRG, APC, RVU methodologies.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coding lead and coders; monitor productivity and scheduling.
• Review coding edits/charges and follow up on failed claims.
• Provide training, education, and research to ensure compliance.
