Job summary

One Medical in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Practice Coordinator to lead our Medical Assistant team, ensure operational readiness, and deliver exceptional patient experiences.

You will oversee scheduling, inventory, billing knowledge, and front-of-house duties, while coaching teammates under the Operations Manager. This full-time role emphasizes operational excellence and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or lead role in high-touch customer service or patient-facing healthcare
• Postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent
• Active Medical Assistant certification from a recognized certifying body (NHA/AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT)

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational readiness of the practice through regular team check-ins and shifts scheduling
• Provide coaching, training and mentoring to team members
• Drive performance through daily management and monitoring of metrics
• Perform inventory management and maintain supplies
• Support the financial health of the practice via budget review and revenue-cycle awareness
• Monitor NPS responses and assist in service recovery as needed
• Support quality health outcomes and regulatory compliance with leadership
• Demonstrate CI-CARE in patient interactions and manage scheduling and billing processes
• Handle front-of-house duties including check-in/out, insurance verification, and office upkeep
• Perform clinical duties such as venipuncture, EKGs, vitals, vaccines as applicable
