Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Team Lead (Practice Coordinator) to oversee our Medical Assistant team in Hoboken, NJ. This onsite role focuses on operational excellence, staffing, scheduling, inventory, and daily clinical coordination to deliver a seamless patient experience.

You will champion best practices, coach teammates, and ensure high-quality patient-centered care while collaborating with the Operations Manager on change initiatives and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 1+ year supervisory or lead role in high-touch customer service or patient-facing healthcare.
• Medical Assistant program accreditation as per CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent recognized by USDOE.
• Active Medical Assistant certification from major MA certifying bodies.
• Proven ability to foster collaborative team dynamics.
• Experience in diverse, feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with change management and process improvement in healthcare billing/insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure practice readiness through staffing reviews, task queues, and monthly shift publishing for admin and clinical teams.
• Lead training, coaching, and recognition programs for the team.
• Drive performance through daily management and office huddles; monitor metrics.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, expiration tracking, waste minimization, counts.
• Support financial health via budget review and revenue-cycle familiarity.
• Monitor NPS responses and escalate service recoveries as needed with Ops Manager.
• Support quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and population health initiatives with Clinical Leadership.
• Apply C-I-CARE principles in patient interactions and manage scheduling, billing follow-ups, and office flow.
• Handle front-of-house duties: check-in/out, insurance verification, paperwork, tests prep, and facility IT requests.
• Clinical duties may include phlebotomy and extended scope tasks as needed.
