Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant Team Lead to support daily operations across Vascular Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery and Nephrology. This newly created role partners with the Practice Manager to improve clinic flow and patient experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, at least two years MA experience, and hands-on clinical exposure.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Clinical externship or hands-on clinical experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support clinic flow throughout the day.
• Coordinate daily clinical workflows.
• Support providers, nurses, and other clinical team members.
• Assist with managing patient throughput and operational efficiency.
• Ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining workflow standards.
• Coach, mentor, and support Medical Assistants.
• Lead daily huddles and implement workflow improvements.
