Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology team in Weymouth. You will provide hands-on patient care while mentoring Medical Assistants, coordinating workflows, and supporting day-to-day clinical operations.

In this leadership role, you will partner with providers and site leadership to promote efficient operations, excellent patient experience, and staff development, while guiding new initiatives and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and team management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, HIPAA, and privacy regulations.
• Ability to take vital signs, collect specimens, multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience with EHR systems and medical office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to the Medical Assistant team.
• Support clinical operations by coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely, efficient care delivery.
• Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history, taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting office-based procedures.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to promote workload balance.
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff, Practice Manager, and providers for communication and issue resolution.
• Participate in new clinical initiatives, quality control programs, and onboarding of new hires or students.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on teamwork and patient care.
