Humana's CenterWell Senior Primary Care Maryvale Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant Lead who serves as the first point of contact for patient care. This role blends administrative duties with clinical responsibilities, leading a team and using independent judgment.

You will collect vitals, assist with vaccines, perform phlebotomy, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians. Requires certification, 3+ years MA experience, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience required.
• 3+ years MA experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• TB screening program implementation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative, operational and patient care duties with independent judgment.
• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screenings.
• Document information in the EMR and supervise MA staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers; coordinate daily priorities and oversee a main process or team.
