Humana’s CenterWell Senior Primary Care in North Las Vegas is hiring a Medical Assistant 2. You will be the first point of contact, performing both patient care and related administrative tasks in a high-volume clinic.

The role supports physicians and APs, taking vital signs, assisting with vaccines and phlebotomy, and documenting in the electronic medical records system. Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certified.
• TB screening due to the program; candidate will be screened for TB.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers; deliver direct patient care as certified.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, with latitude over prioritization and timing.
